We inspire, equip, and mobilize our people to meet others' deepest needs, locally and globally. We impact souls with the gospel by serving tangibly, evangelizing boldly, and praying powerfully.  We go in Christ's authority to make and teach disciples (Matt 28:18-20) as we build relationships over time.

And we go in Christ’s authority to make and teach disciples (Matt. 28:18-20) as we build relationships over time. We invite you to join us in that work in a number of important ways!

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

Local Missions

We have partnership relationships with several missionaries and missions organizations throughout our community and around the world who are meeting real needs as they seek to further the gospel and strengthen the local church. If you would like to connect with any of our partners, just Let us know!

FAM assists those in need in South Orange County with resources for food, shelter, and personalized supportive counsel and aid, helping clients bridge the gap from dependency to self-sufficiency. They are a homeless prevention agency that serves over 4,000 clients per month, almost half of whom are under age 18.

Safe Families is an innovative collaboration between churches, volunteers, and child care professionals designed to support at-risk children and parents in need. It’s an opportunity for volunteers to have a powerful impact in the lives of others while practicing biblical hospitality and extending the love of Christ to people in need — all from their own home. Several Shoreline families have been approved as “host families”, while others come alongside the host family or parent in crisis to offer support.

The caring, trained staff of the PRC is aware of the fears that come with an unexpected pregnancy. They’ve served almost 2,000 women and families with free services including pregnancy tests, counseling, parenting classes, maternity and baby clothes and supplies, social services referrals, abstinence education, and post-abortion Bible studies for those who’ve experienced the trauma of a past abortion — and in doing so have saved babies and led people to Jesus.

Teenagers look all over the place for fulfillment, acceptance, joy, and pleasure — usually in the wrong places. Young Life exists to point kids to the life they were intended to live…in Jesus. Caring adults develop relationships with kids and share that message by spending time with kids on their turf and earning the right to be heard. Weekly meetings and summer camps are often where that life changes happens.

Access Life International is dedicated to providing hope and care to people in Southeast Asia. We assist persons with disabilities through physical therapy and mobility devices. We also partner with villages and communities throughout Southeast Asia to overcome barriers to clean water.

Julie is involved with CRU‘s “Bridges” program on the UC Irvine campus. Her heart is to disciple and connect students from other countries to the life-saving message of the gospel, so that they can bring that good news back to their countries of origin and share it with others. Around 80% of international students will never enter an American home, and even fewer will ever enter a Christian church. Bridges is committed to changing that by involving families who know the Lord and empowering them to reach out.

Janell uses her passion for the arts and technology as a JESUS film photographer, print-web graphic designer and audio/visual tech. She also serves on the leadership team of “Women for JESUS,” whose mission is to connect women with unique opportunities to pray with passion and give with purpose. They have established a global network of prayer to support the ministry and staff internationally, and this often involves leading these women on international trips so that they can better know how to pray. Jeff’s role is to consult with ministry staff and to be a support to Janell.

Chris leads teams of people all over the world in building playgrounds, feeding people, and training those who work with kids to use oral storytelling methods. He is the VP of Partnerships with Kids Around the World and has a heart for engaging the local church in the global mission of God.

Dan leads trips building playgrounds for kids in poverty-stricken areas all over the world. Playgrounds are a unique gift that transforms entire communities, allowing kids to be kids, and to experience a worry-free environment crucial to healthy development. They also open doors in countries that are typically closed to US involvement; this allows Kids Around The World to help children that otherwise go completely unserved. So far we have been to over 80 countries and installed more than 350 playgrounds.

Pastor Daniel Nunez’s God-given vision is to plant 50 churches in his lifetime.  He’s already up to 39!  He pastors one campus and trains other local pastors to plant more churches in the Tijuana area.  Each month, we head down to help with construction needs, reach out to children with games and crafts, and share a meal.  It’s a neat opportunity to get to know our Mexican brothers and sisters and make the local church shine.

We have been heavily invested as a church in a remote village in Veracruz, Mexico for the last few years. We are working through a church there to bring the gospel to people and see other churches planted in the area. We are also working to bring joy to kids, medical treatment to those who need it, and support for the church and pastor in various ways.

Gary and Kelly are full-time missionaries in Thailand with OMF. They use relational evangelism techniques to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the Thai people, and are seeing great fruit as several people have accepted Jesus in the time they’ve been there!

Gogo Grandmothers is a project which links grandparents and others from developed countries to grandparents caring for orphans in Malawi, thereby addressing one of the outcomes of the HIV/AIDS pandemic within a faith-based context. The Shoreline has an adopted village called Thowolo. Together, we are changing lives in vulnerable communities as God’s love and truth are shared in word and deed.

This couple’s staff on the ground is involved in medical and community outreaches, church planting, schooling and feeding programs, sustainable organic farming, and training programs.  They minister primarily to a Muslim tribal group using story telling methods for oral learners, one-on-one discipleship, and a house church.

Tim’s passion is to see the Lord glorified throughout the world.  He has been serving the local church since 1990 with a heart to mobilize the body to engage in God’s mission both across the street and across the world.  His goal is to help followers of Jesus seamlessly integrate God’s global purposes in and through the fabric of their lives.  He currently serves with an international mission reaching across to the Islamic community and seeking to build bridges between followers of Jesus and followers of Islam.  Tim and Heather live in Orange County with their six children.

God has given Grafted Ministries a heart to take the gospel “to the Jew first” (Romans 1:16), just as the Apostle Paul did. This has greatly influenced our model for ministry, and we are convinced that reaching the Jewish people must become a higher priority both in the Church and among mission-based organizations. Paul also states that Jewish acceptance of the gospel accelerates the advancement of God’s Kingdom to all other nations of the world (Romans 11:12). The Church as a whole has largely lost touch with its Jewish heritage and its God-given responsibility to provoke the Jewish people to envy with the gospel, and this must change to achieve maximum effectiveness in sharing the gospel.

Johnathan grew up right here at The Shoreline, and is currently serving in Biarritz, France with YWAM working to reach the surfing community through a ministry focused on bringing a Kingdom-centered culture while showing God’s love in practical ways, and also serving as a cafe and hub for the surrounding community. He has a passion for reaching the surfing community and changing the individualistic culture to be Kingdom-centered by inviting people into discipleship to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
