What is Baptism?
The act of baptism is fundamentally about identifying with Jesus Christ. When you make the decision to be baptized, you are walking in obedience to Christ’s command (Matthew 28:19-20), and are demonstrating your belief in a tangible way. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans saying,
3 “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:3,4 ESV
If you have put your faith in Christ but have never been baptized, then we invite you to take that step of obedience and publicly proclaim what the Lord has done in your life! If you would like to sign up for the next baptism, please click on the register now circle!
Please NOTE: Everyone who fills out this form will be contacted by staff regarding this important decision. We want to celebrate and hear what God has done. For students in 4th & 5th grade, you must complete a baptism class before being baptized. While we believe that young children can understand the essentials of salvation and put their faith in Jesus, The Shoreline prefers that kids younger than 10 years old wait to make this important decision.
